Once I decided to get a multi-use pot, I did a lot of research on the various models available, and decided to go with the 6 quart, Mealthy Multipot 9-in-1. I've only had it a couple of weeks but am already totally in love with it. Admittedly, I was a little afraid of it the first time I used the pressure cooker feature as I have never used a pressure cooker but have heard the horror stories about the old style pressure cookers exploding and wreaking all kinds of havoc on the user and surrounding area, so I was totally prepared for an emergency evacuation of myself and the dog from the kitchen at the first sign of impending disaster. I grabbed the user guide when it started steaming and was reassured when it said in the guide "it's normal...don't worry"! When all else fails...and I did appreciate the guide telling me not to worry. :0)This pot it super easy to use. So far, I've made potato salad (didn't believe it..actual cooking time 4 minutes?... so had to try it) and it was really good. I also made a recipe for Chicken Thighs with Potatoes and Pesto Sauce (found in the Mealthy cookbook I bought when I got the pot) and it was fantastic! Chicken thighs so tender they broke apart taking them out of the pot. I know this pot will really help me and my husband eat healthier. A lot of times, it's getting late in the day and we still haven't decided what we want for dinner (the old "what do you want for dinner?" "I don't know, what do you want?" conversation) and it ends up getting too late to start cooking a real meal, and we end up eating a frozen entree from the freezer or a sandwich or something. But with this pot, you can basically cook a full meal in no time at all...chicken and potatoes in less that an hour start to finish, including prep time, for example. Gotta love it.

The recipes sound good, but try to find what you're looking for. Some the categories recipes are found in make no sense to me. For instance (and I haven't made this yet) the Lava Chocolate recipe sounds more like a Chocolate Lava Cake recipe, yet it's found in the Breakfast section. Also, there is no glossary to look recipes up by a main ingredient. I'm making my own on Excel. In other words, if you want to find a recipe for making yogurt, you have to guess what section it's in. So far, I haven't found it. Some of the recipes are divided by main ingredient such as Poultry, Beef or Fish. However, there are also Lunch and Dinner sections. Some of the recipes in the lunch section sound more like dinner to me and many of the recipes in the dinner section have beef or chicken in them. This would be a small thing to most, but the grammar is also not consistent. All in all, I would say the actual recipe content is good, but the arrangement of the recipes is not. Good luck finding what you want to cook without reading the whole book.

This book is a disgrace to the culinary arts and to the publishing industry. I am stunned that Mealthy allows their brand to be linked. The text is fraught with errors, and the information is written in a Me Tarzan, You Jane vernacular that leaves glaring gaps in instruction. There are NOT 500 recipes that require a Multipot. A great many recipes are merely fried foods requiring the sauté setting only. How about a simple skillet instead? To look at one section only, most of the meats are unidentifiable “mystery” ingredients: ground fish, meat steaks, pork boiled, beef meat pieces, mutton boiled, mutton pieces,1 whole white turkey, 1 whole white chicken. Are those with feathers? The meatball recipe calls for a pound of meat (not boiled) that magically can be formed into balls along the way. The five-star ratings shake my faith in all reviews. Me Chump. I regret I have to give one star.

Bought the Kindle edition of this as a companion for my new MultiPot.It has some nice recipes but there just isn't enough detail. For example, it may tell you to use chickpeas...but it doesn't say if they should be fresh or if canned is OK. Then there are other recipes that call for rice...but it doesn't say if you need to pre-cook the rice or if you just cook it with everything else. Which I find hard to believe for the recipes I'm questioning because it says cook for "5 minutes". Or it tells you to cook avocado in another dish for 35 minutes on "pressure cook". Really? There's not going to be anything left. So, good ideas, poorly executed due to a lack of details. At least for the Kindle edition. I don't know if it's exactly the same as the paper book.I'm guessing there are better recipe books out there.

I downloaded it out of curiosity and it is not a great resource. It has recipes with incomplete ingredient lists, gives cooking times for several veggie dishes that can't possibly result in anything but mush, and there's zero personality in the writing. It's just one badly formatted list of ingredients and barebones instructions after the other....enjoy?

I just received this cookbook, and it certainly has a lot of good recipes to choose from. However, a number of recipes do not list water in their ingredients (280, 281,282, etc.). The Mealthy Multipot’s water requirement is 1 cup water according to my online search. Aren’t all pressure cookers designed to have at least 1 cup of liquid, whether water or broth or whatever? I read the upfront intro text but no mention of why water was not listed in some recipes. I would appreciate some advice on this, as several of the recipes I hope to make are missing this ingredient.

This book needs serious proofreading. See #274, Tuna and Avocado Stew. No mention of the Tuna in the directions. #179, Tuna Pasta Braise. Ingredients call for cheddar cheese, Directions say to add mozzarella cheese. Also, some ingredients I never heard of, like what is Saffola Masala Oats? And some ingredients that aren’t exactly readily available, at least not where I live; mustard leaves? That being said, I didn’t give it 1 star because there some recipes that look interesting. Maybe I can google what boiled beef is.
