First off. In response to Margaret McConnell (4/9/15) who said: "I do not accept reincarnation as I'm a Christian and the Bible clearly states: 'It is is appointed man ONCE to live and after that the judgment.'" I am a Christian and I DO believe in reincarnation. Let me first of all point out that that's not what the scripture says. Secondly, here are some scriptures in favor of reincarnation:Mal. 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.Matt. 11:13-14 [Jesus:] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.Matt. 17:12-13 [Jesus:] But I say unto you, that Elias is come already and they knew him not but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the son of Man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.Jesus nowhere denied reincarnation, not even when the disciples asked him of the man born blind, "Master, who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" (John 9:2)As for the other naysayers who have posted that Brian doesn't even check to verify if these past life stories happened. Ok, yeah it might have helped, but that would be a lot of work and besides, it doesn't really matter. The important thing is being healed. As for Music Lover and the other reviewer who borrowed from Music Lover who said that we must have a powerless God. God is using Brian and other plr therapists to heal people. As long as people are being healed, who cares! This book is about healing.That said. Brian Weiss does it again! This book is awesome and very thorough! Very detailed and healing from start to finish with some really good techniques too. He says over and over again, "We are all connected." He talks about animals. One of my favorite quotes was when he said, "karma is not a punishment, it is an opportunity for growth." We are soul and we are eternal. Well anyway, I don't want to give too much away. I just like the stories people wrote him and every one of them no matter how similar, are unique. Many Lives, Many Masters and Only Love is Real are still my two favorites by him but this one's great too. Makes me want to visit the Omega Institute! Amy's a great writer too!

I am a big fan of Brian Weiss. I have read all his books multiple times, have one of his meditation CDs, and recently attended a full day workshop and met him. However, I really dislike Miracles Happen. The book is full of stories written by various people, and 90% of them begin with, "When I attended your 5 day workshop at the Omega Institute..." The book reads like one long ad for the $$$$$$$$ five day workshop. Now, I'd love to attend the workshop, but this is really over the top. In addition, I want to read Brian Weiss books because I want to read about reincarnation. I'm not that interested in, "I was at the Omega Institute and got a psychic message from Joe, and I didn't know who it was meant for, but then I found the woman the message was for, and then she was happy." I want to read about people's past lives, or that the message from Joe prompted them to find they had a past life together, or basically any extensive story about the lives themselves. So if you are thinking about signing up for the workshop, you may want to read this book to hear about other people's experiences there. If you want to read about reincarnation and past life experiences, I direct you to any of Brian Weiss's other books about reincarnation.I had to edit this to add, after hearing about this book at the workshop I thought about buying it at the table they had there. I'm very glad I didn't, because the next day I discovered I had bought it two years ago for the kindle. I had started it but never finished and had completely forgotten I owned it. As I have read his other books repeatedly, I guess I just wanted to block this one from my memory.

Loved this book. My husband died five weeks ago and this was a balm upon my soul. I'd read Weiss' books before and loved them, too. I know reincarnation happens. I had a flashback while doing a Focusing meditation years ago. I recalled a prior life with my husband back then. It really helps to know you'll see your loved ones again. But it doesn't stop you from missing them. Theresa Caputo's book on grief is helping, too.

Saw him and his daughter on PBS and had to have another of his books. It just makes so much sense that we have the same partners, family, etc. from one life to the next.

As an author who writes fiction that features reincarnation as a given and has done considerable research into the phenomenon in history and in the field, I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Weiss's latest book Miracles Happen. I haven't studied his earlier works (intend to do so), which evidently present more of the nuts and bolts of his method of regression, but I got the general idea from the mix of testimonials and commentary that comprise this book.His inclusion of portals other than strict past life regression (future lives, alternate/simultaneous lives, psychometry) adds breadth and stimulation for those already on board with reincarnation, offering other ways to explore that mysterious inner space.The many stories, which some have reviewed as repetitive or non-sensational, have a cumulative effect that either introduces the key concept that we are NOT our current bodies/personalities living only this time around or reinforces that mode of thinking for those who grasp it conceptually but are working to "get it" as a living reality. Since we, in the western world, have been conditioned by both religious and scientific authorities to ignore such soul phenomena or attribute them to the dark side, it is taking quite some time and repetition for the so-called occult to leak from its hidden streams back into the main water supply. Nevertheless, as Dr. Weiss points out and his subjects experienced, there are many ills, human and societal, that easily resolve by addressing the deeper past. While not including at least a summary of basic methods (why I gave the book four rather than five stars), this work should motivate many to explore and experience this rather simple route to personal health and enlightenment.
